Nicki Minaj has grown on me. When she first exploded on the music scene with her "Black Barbie" persona, it seemed a bit much. She seemed to be a media whore chasing Lady Gaga's over-the-topness. But as time passed and the more people's songs she appeared on, the less forced it seemed. And love her or hate her, she is the only female rapper in years that has sold a lot of records and made a helluva living. If you've witnessed her lyrical skill, you may be aware that she actually deserves it. As for her being sexy, she's not the first female rapper to play the sexy card--but she has added her own colorfulness to it. The most lovable part of her "sexy" is that she spends most of the time scowling, making crazy faces, and lending attention to her self-diagnosed multiple personalities.
