"Bad (Not Bad Ass) Tattoo" : Rose and Blah
http://gradeatattoos.com/
Let's hope with all of our hearts that this is not meant to be a cover up. Or an attempt to draw attention away from this poor fella's skin problem. Quite the oppoisit my friend. In cases like this, less is more. Yes, every rose has its thorn, but not so much its own scar.

"The Hard Sell" : Taboo In Advertising
This Dolce & Gabbana ad received a lot of flack and was accused of insinuating gang rape. The argument is valid, but it is safe to say that many fashion ads (most notably Calvin Klein) have crossed more lines. The fact clothes and sex go hand-in-hand has made extreme sexual practice in ads a staple, begging the question, "How far is too far?"
For the Love of "Cunt"
One of our repeat customers was inspired to write this post on her Facebook profile after purchasing a custom "Cunt" keychain. No doubt, the word is one of the most despised in the English language, but one of the main reasons I started Metal Taboo is to take back power in words that were created or changed to inflict insult and hurt. I think Dawn is right on board with her assessment of the word. I particularly love her promise at the end not to leave her keys behind in unwanted places:
The C Word
People generally do not understand why I like the word c*nt. Arguably the most offensive female slur in the English language, I admit the first time I heard it used by a guy in anger, I was repulsed and offended. Over the last 25 years or so since I first heard c*nt used, I have come to embrace the word. Some believe that c*nt may actually be derived from the name of a goddess, a woman in power, one to be worshiped. This image was considered offensive to patriarchal religions and therefore inverted in meaning to be negative. There is no clear etymology for c*nt but most align the word with some aspect of femininity, goddess or female genitalia. I embrace c*nt in defiance to this bastardization of the word and claim it as a woman.
A very powerful word, c*nt is included George Carlin's list of Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television routine and it is not a word to be used in general conversation in 'polite society'. Yet it is such a sharp little word - small, crisp and clean and out of your mouth before someone can figure out if you really said THAT word or perhaps you just sneezed. Like other offensive words it finds power in the meaning given to it by history, society and context.
I am not so naive to say that it is only four little letters, what harm can it do? I fully understand the way the majority of people view this word but since I've embraced c*nt and have used it to season my language with close friends, the word has lost its sting and power and therefore if someone calls me a c*nt it really does not phase me. I think at this point in my life I would just laugh in their face. There are plenty of other words that could be hurled at me that would cut far deeper and hurt me, so my admiration of c*nt does not diminish the power words can hold.
Because of my love and personal ownership of the C word I bought myself a present and it came in the mail today. Were this not Facebook I would not be obstructing the letter "u" in the photo and in this note but I understand that because of the obscene connotations of this word the use of it could get me kicked off Facebook. I sincerely hope that those of you who took the time to look at my note and photo are not outraged or offended and can understand that this is just another part of who I am and I will try not to leave my keys on your desk, end table, etc."

"Vice Pioneers" : Atheism
Atheos: "without gods" in Greek
Socrates: unconfirmed nonbeliever
Buddhism: the deityless religion
I'm a strong believer that one should always learn as much about every subject that the brain can allow and sometimes indulge in topics that makes one uncomfortable. For some reason, religion talk makes people more uncomfortable than any other subject. Most people would rather witness a drug overdose than listen to a person with opposing religious views. After the subject of priests and molestation, atheism is the most taboo subject in religion talk. Here's a look into the non-belief of a higher power.
From Wikipedia: Atheism, in a broad sense, is the rejection of belief in the existence of deities. In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities. Most inclusively, atheism is simply the absence of belief that any deities exist. Atheism is contrasted with theism, which in its most general form is the belief that at least one deity exists.
The term atheism originated from the Greek ἄθεος (atheos), meaning "without gods", which was applied with a negative connotation to those thought to reject the gods worshipped by the larger society. With the spread of freethought, skeptical inquiry, and subsequent increase in criticism of religion, application of the term narrowed in scope. The first individuals to identify themselves as "atheist" appeared in the 18th century.
Today, about 2.3% of the world's population describes itself as atheist, while a further 11.9% is described as nonreligious. Between 64% and 65% of Japanese describe themselves as atheists, agnostics, or nonbelievers. In Europe, the estimated percentage of atheists, agnostics and other nonbelievers in a personal god ranges as low as single digits in Poland, Romania, Cyprus, and some other countries, and up to 85% in Sweden (where 17% identify themselves as atheists), 80% in Denmark, 72% in Norway, and 60% in Finland.
Atheists tend to lean toward skepticism regarding supernatural claims, citing a lack of empirical evidence. Atheists have offered several rationales for not believing in any deity. These include the problem of evil, the argument from inconsistent revelations, and the argument from nonbelief. Other arguments for atheism range from the philosophical to the social to the historical. Although some atheists have adopted secular philosophies, there is no one ideology or set of behaviors to which all atheists adhere.
In Western culture, atheists are frequently assumed to be exclusively irreligious or unspiritual. However, atheism also figures in certain religious and spiritual belief systems, such as Jainism, some forms of Buddhism that do not advocate belief in gods, and Hinduism that holds atheism to be valid but difficult to follow spiritually.
Classical antiquity
In Plato's Apology, Socrates (pictured) was accused by Meletus of not believing in the gods.
Western atheism has its roots in pre-Socratic Greek philosophy, but did not emerge as a distinct world-view until the late Enlightenment. The 5th-century BCE Greek philosopher Diagoras is known as the "first atheist", and is cited as such by Cicero in his De Natura Deorum. Critias viewed religion as a human invention used to frighten people into following moral order. Atomists such as Democritus attempted to explain the world in a purely materialistic way, without reference to the spiritual or mystical. Other pre-Socratic philosophers who probably had atheistic views included Prodicus and Protagoras. In the 3rd-century BCE the Greek philosophers Theodorus Cirenaicus and Strato of Lampsacus also did not believe gods exist.
Socrates (c. 471–399 BCE), was accused of impiety (see Euthyphro dilemma) on the basis that he inspired questioning of the state gods. Although he disputed the accusation that he was a "complete atheist", saying that he could not be an atheist as he believed in spirits, he was ultimately sentenced to death. Socrates also prays to various gods in Plato's dialogue Phaedrus and says "By Zeus" in the dialogue The Republic.
Euhemerus (c. 330–260 BCE) published his view that the gods were only the deified rulers, conquerors and founders of the past, and that their cults and religions were in essence the continuation of vanished kingdoms and earlier political structures. Although not strictly an atheist, Euhemerus was later criticized for having "spread atheism over the whole inhabited earth by obliterating the gods".

News Spotlight: Jaycee Dugard To Write Memoir
"NEW YORK (CBS/AP) Jaycee Dugard's alleged captors are still awaiting trial on charges of kidnapping, rape and imprisonment, but Jaycee isn't waiting for justice to share her harrowing and ultimately inspiring story of nearly two decades of captivity.
Simon & Schuster announced Monday that Dugard will write the book herself and that she will tell the whole story from the day in 1991 when she was snatched off the street by Philip Garrido to the present day as she tries to heal and raise the two daughters she had with Garrido during captivity.
Simon & Schuster publisher and executive vice president Jonathan Karp said he was blown away by what he had read so far.
"When I read the pages, I was moved and inspired by the raw power of Jaycee Dugard's voice, her strength and her resilience," Karp said." Click here to read more.

Katy Perry Too Slutty for Elmo
So you've probably heard that Katy Perry's taping on Sesame Street has been pulled because of parent complaints about her boob-revealing get up. It seems kids are exposed to much more offensive things today. And have you seen some of the outfits some of the parents wear? One of funniest aspects of this fiasco is fiancee Russell Brand's Twitter comment: "today’s Sesame Street will NOT be brought to you by the number 34 or the letter D.”

"Sexpot of the Week" : Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez has been a sex symbol going on two decades and she is proof that some people really do get better with age. She's not just our "Sexpot of the Week" because she's really sexy (although it would probably suffice), but because she's still making big money. Known in the industry for her diva demands, it should come as no surprise to anyone that even after years of no successful films and flopping albums, she still got American Idol to hand over $12 million for her upcoming judging gig. As far as the being sexy aspect, the fact that she is 41 and still looks like this is an accomplishment in itself. All the photos above were taken this year!
News Spotlight: Cheaters Edition
Both Ashton Kutcher and David Beckham are currently in the news for alleged affairs. Kutcher for having an affair with a 21-year old possible friend of Demi Moore. Beckham worse for a threesome with prostitutes. Don't celebrities know by now that their dirt will surface? I assume they do, but with the egos most of these people have, I'm sure there's a natural occurrence not to give a fuck. Usually when they get caught, they get forgiveness.
At this point, stories like this don't even come off as exciting news. It's never a surprise anymore. We just wait for the outcome (Tiger Woods-esque divorce in the works?). And yes, feed off the frenzy.

"Bad (Not Bad Ass) Tattoo" -- Waves
http://gradeatattoos.com/
The most fascinating part of bad tattoo photographs is the fact that people pose for the camera with pride to show them off. This week, four lines of blah on some poor guy's arm. This appears to be some take on water and/or waves, but anyone's guess can be counted as accurate.

"Vice Pioneers" : Methamphetamine
Methamphetamine, or Crystal Meth
Breaking Bad: Putting a new spin on the drug
Hitler: crystal meth head
I'm just now starting to catch up on the series "Breaking Bad" and thought I would examine methamphetamine, aka crystal meth, for "Vice Pioneers" this week. The drug is by far one of the most damaging drugs on the market, but its popularity has soared. Here's a more in depth look at the drug.
From Wikipedia: Methamphetamine was first synthesized from ephedrine in Japan in 1893 by chemist Nagai Nagayoshi. In 1919, crystallized methamphetamine was synthesized by Akira Ogata via reduction of ephedrine using red phosphorus and iodine. In 1943, Abbott Laboratories requested for its approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of narcolepsy, mild depression, postencephalitic parkinsonism, chronic alcoholism, cerebral arteriosclerosis, and hay fever. Methamphetamine was approved for all of these indications in December, 1944. All of these indication approvals were eventually removed. The only two approved marketing indications remaining for methamphetamine are for attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and the short-term management of exogenous obesity, although the drug is clinically established as effective in the treatment of narcolepsy.
Second World War
One of the earliest uses of methamphetamine was during World War II, when it was used by Axis and Allied forces. The German military dispensed it under the trade name Pervitin. It was widely distributed across rank and division, from elite forces to tank crews and aircraft personnel, with many millions of tablets being distributed throughout the war. From 1942 until his death in 1945, Adolf Hitler may have been given intravenous injections of methamphetamine by his personal physician Theodor Morell. It is possible that it was used to treat Hitler's speculated Parkinson's disease, or that his Parkinson-like symptoms that developed from 1940 onwards resulted from using methamphetamine.
Post-war use
After World War II, a large Japanese military stockpile of methamphetamine, known by its trademark Philopon, flooded the market. The Japanese Ministry of Health banned it in 1951; since then, it has been increasingly produced by the Yakuza criminal organization. On the streets, it is also known as S, Shabu, and Speed, in addition to its old trademarked name.
In the 1950s, there was a rise in the legal prescription of methamphetamine to the American public. In the 1954 edition of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, indications for methamphetamine included "narcolepsy, postencephalitic parkinsonism, alcoholism, certain depressive states, and in the treatment of obesity."
The 1960s saw the start of significant use of clandestinely manufactured methamphetamine as well as methamphetamine created in users' own homes for personal use. The recreational use of methamphetamine continues to this day.
Legal restrictions
In 1983, laws were passed in the United States prohibiting possession of precursors and equipment for methamphetamine production. This was followed a month later by a bill passed in Canada enacting similar laws. In 1986, the U.S. government passed the Federal Controlled Substance Analogue Enforcement Act in an attempt to curb the growing use of designer drugs. Despite this, use of methamphetamine expanded throughout rural United States, especially through the Midwest and South.
Production and distribution
Until the early 1990s, methamphetamine for the U.S. market was made mostly in labs run by drug traffickers in Mexico and California. Since then, authorities have discovered increasing numbers of small-scale methamphetamine labs all over the United States, mostly in rural, suburban, or low-income areas. Indiana state police found 1,260 labs in 2003, compared to just 6 in 1995, although this may be partly a result of increased police activity. As of 2007, drug and lab seizure data suggests that approximately 80 percent of the methamphetamine used in the United States originates from larger laboratories operated by Mexican-based syndicates on both sides of the border and that approximately 20 percent comes from small toxic labs (STLs) in the United States.
Mobile and motel-based methamphetamine labs have caught the attention of both the U.S. news media and the police. Such labs can cause explosions and fires and expose the public to hazardous chemicals. Those who manufacture methamphetamine are often harmed by toxic gases. Many police departments have specialized task forces with training to respond to cases of methamphetamine production. The National Drug Threat Assessment 2006, produced by the Department of Justice, found "decreased domestic methamphetamine production in both small and large-scale laboratories", but also that "decreases in domestic methamphetamine production have been offset by increased production in Mexico." They concluded that "methamphetamine availability is not likely to decline in the near term."
In July 2007, Mexican officials at the port of Lázaro Cárdenas seized a ship carrying 19 tons of pseudoephedrine, a raw material needed for methamphetamine. The shipment originated in Hong Kong and passed through the United States at the port of Long Beach prior to its arrival in Mexico.
Methamphetamine is distributed by prison gangs, outlaw motorcycle gangs, street gangs, traditional organized crime operations, and impromptu small networks.[citation needed] In the United States, illicit methamphetamine comes in a variety of forms with prices varying widely over time. Most commonly, it is found as a colorless crystalline solid. Impurities may result in a brownish or tan color. Colorful flavored pills containing methamphetamine and caffeine are known as yaa baa (Thai for "crazy medicine").
An impure form of methamphetamine is sold as a crumbly brown or off-white rock, commonly referred to as "peanut butter crank". Methamphetamine found on the street is rarely pure, but adulterated with chemicals that were used to synthesize it. It may be diluted or cut with non-psychoactive substances like inositol, isopropylbenzylamine or dimethylsulfone. Another popular method is to combine methamphetamine with other stimulant substances such as caffeine or cathine into a pill known as a "Kamikaze", which can be particularly dangerous due to the synergistic effects of multiple stimulants. It may also be flavored with high-sugar candies, drinks, or drink mixes to mask the bitter taste of the drug. Coloring may be added to the meth, as is the case with "Strawberry Quick".

"Lyric Raid" : "Hold Ya Head" by Notorious B.I.G.
"Hold Ya Head" was never one of Biggie Smalls' biggest hits, but arguably one of his most profound songs lyrically as far as representing the mentality of distressed youth. It represents the grittiest of the grit. Hard life. No hope. Add Bob Marley on a hook and you have gold. One can only wonder if Biggie got his wish and ended up in hell instead of heaven with the "goodie-goodies."
"When I die, fuck it I wanna go to hell
Cause I'm a piece of shit, it ain't hard to fuckin' tell
It don't make sense, goin' to heaven wit' the goodie-goodies
Dressed in white, I like black Tims and black hoodies
God will probably have me on some real strict shit
No sleepin' all day, no gettin my dick licked
Hangin' with the goodie-goodies loungin' in paradise
Fuck that shit, I wanna tote guns and shoot dice
All my life I been considered as the worst
Lyin' to my mother, even stealin' out her purse
Crime after crime, from drugs to extortion
I know my mother wished she got a fuckin' abortion
Bob Marley: Woman hold her head and cry
Cause her son had been shot down in the street and died
I swear to God I just want to slit my wrists and end this bullshit
Throw the Magnum to my head, threaten to pull shit
And squeeze, until the bed's, completely red
I'm glad I'm dead, a worthless fuckin' buddah head
The stress is buildin' up, I can't,I can't believe suicide's on my fuckin' mind
I want to leave, I swear to God I feel like death is fuckin' callin' me
Naw you wouldn't understand
You see its kinda like the crack did to Pookie, in New Jack
Except when I cross over, there ain't no comin' back
Should I die on the train track, like Remo in Beatstreet
People at the funeral frontin' like they miss me
My baby momma kissed me but she glad I'm gone
She knew me and her sister had somethin' goin' on
I wonder if I died, would tears come to her eyes?
Forgive me for my disrespect, forgive me for my lies
Bob Marley: Woman hold her head and cry
Cause her son had been shot down in the street and died..."
News Spotlight: Katy Perry and Russell Brand's Rowdy Weekend
Pretty self explanatory. Russell Brand got arrested for roughing up paparazzi after they attempted to take pictures of Katy Perry's hoo-ha. And she partied hard with Rihanna for her bachelorette party. Crazy kids these days. Not sure I agree with iVillage's "swoon!" reaction though. Especially hard to feel that way for a man who always has the same stupid look on his face (see photo).
"Russell Brand was arrested on Friday afternoon -- but seems like it only made fiancee Katy Perry love him more! The comedian, 35, was arrested for battery after shoving paparazzi out of the way at the Los Angeles International Airport. As MTV News points out, Brand has been arrested 11 times in the past -- but never for physical violence. So what pushed him over the edge this time?
Answer: the photographer was trying to take an upskirt photo of Katy Perry. And, as she tweeted later that day, Perry supports his actions: "If you cross the line & try an put a lens up my dress, my fiancé will do his job & protect me." In other words, Brand was arrested for defending Katy's honor! Swoon!
Brand was released on $20,000 bail, and Perry proceeded with her weekend plans: A bachelorette party in Vegas, thrown for her by Rihanna! The two pop superstars and a group of friends started the party in the Hard Rock Hotel pool, where Perry wore a bridal veil attached to her bikini." Reported by iVillage.

"Sexpot of the Week" -- Kim Kardashian
And while we're talking about Kim, i.e. "busty bubble-butt bimbo who's had more dark meat inside her than a bucket of fried chicken" (see last blog post--just had to use it again), I realized while looking for the sex doll post pictures that I've never featured her as our sexpot. Maybe no other woman has done more for sex and vice than she. Her entire empire has been built on it. And undoubtedly, she is one of the most beautiful women in entertainment. No talent really. But she pretty much created a situation in which she doesn't need any. Hence, our sexpot of the week.
News Spotlight: Blowup Doll Backlash
Oddly, both Kim Kardashian and Lady Gaga are in the news for being up in arms about Pipedream Products' planned release of sex dolls created in their honor. Kim is raising hell over her "Kinky Kim Filthy Love Doll." The box's description is hilarious: "busty bubble-butt bimbo who's had more dark meat inside her than a bucket of fried chicken." She has asked the company to stop production and threatening to sue. Lady Gaga has apprently taken it one step further and started litigation against the company over her "Lady Gag Gag" doll.
I'm actually surprised Lady Gaga cares. And while I have not had the honor of knowing what it feels like to have a sex dolls made after me, I feel as though both of them are taking it all a little too seriously. This company has made sex dolls imitating celebrities for a while now and although it may be a little unfair for them to profit off a celebrity's image, it's hard to feel sorry for these women who make so much money--especially Kim who has profited off her pussy for years.

"Bad (Not Bad Ass) Tattoo" -- Demon Angels
http://gradeatattoos.com/
Not sure if these are intended to be angels or demons. I'm going to side with the former just because of the heart and cross, but it borderlines on looking like demons are attacking the centerpiece. So unfortunate. And for life--well eternity.

"The Hard Sell" : Taboo In Advertising
Sex sells. A product used in the actual act definitely sells. This Durex ad is actually a throwback. It debuted in 2003 and got banned after three old ladies said it was irresponsible and promoted casual sex. I bet Durex would have a little better luck with this ad is 2010. Seems as though seven years has made a world of difference in our tolerance for blatant sex messages.

And I Quote...
“Men are more moral than they think and far more immoral than they can imagine.” --Sigmund Freud
"Vice Pioneers" : Sadomasochism
Namesake: Leopold von Sacher-Masoch
Namesake: Marquis de Sade
Namer: Richard von Krafft-Ebing
It's funny how most of our vice categories are created or popularized by suit and tie, unasuming white men. Well here's another--a little info on the world of S&M. The main player of an act categorized by pain and pleasure would of course be a doctor. And his namesakes for the act are of course creatives who expose such behavior.
From Wikipedia: BDSM is a shorthand for the three main subdivisions of the culture: B&D (bondage and discipline), D/s (dominance and submission) and S&M (sadism and masochism or slave and master).
In its simplest format, sadists desire to inflict suffering and masochists want to receive suffering. The act might be sexual for both, either, or neither. In a particular sub-set of the BDSM culture, submissive personalities who do not enjoy suffering themselves may nevertheless accept suffering play to serve or please their Master or Mistress. Such people are not considered masochist by technical definition. An opposing variation is the person who enjoys the suffering entirely; these people are referred to as "pain sluts" or "suffering sluts".
Similarly, a dominant desires to exercise emotional or relational control over another. A submissive wants to feel such control. Again, there might be a sexual element, or there might not. Such an element is not necessarily mutual.
Bondage and discipline is then perhaps the hardest of the three to define. It usually involves either physical or psychological restraint, formalized service and/or punishment, and sometimes sexual role playing, such as costumes.
Etymology:
The two words incorporated into this compound, "Sadism" and "Masochism", were first selected as professional scientific terminology, identifying human behavioral phenomena and intended for the classification of distinct psychological illnesses and/or malicious social and sexual orientations. The terms were originally derived from the names of two authors, Marquis de Sade and Leopold von Sacher-Masoch respectively, based on their popular writings.
The German psychiatrist Richard von Krafft-Ebing introduced the terms "Sadism" and "Masochism" into institutional medical terminology in his work Neue Forschungen auf dem Gebiet der Psychopathia sexualis ("New research in the area of Psychopathology of Sex") in 1890.
In 1905, Sigmund Freud described "Sadism" and "Masochism" in his Drei Abhandlungen zur Sexualtheorie ("Three papers on Sexual Theory") as stemming from aberrant psychological development from early childhood. He also laid the groundwork for the widely accepted medical perspective on the subject in the following decades. This led to the first compound usage of the terminology in Sado-Masochism (Loureiroian "Sado-Masochismus") by the Viennese Psychoanalyst Isidor Isaak Sadger in his work Über den sado-masochistischen Komplex ("Regarding the sadomasochistic complex") in 1913.
Fiction:
Many of Marquis de Sade's books, including Justine (1791), Juliette (1797) and The 120 Days of Sodom (published posthumously in 1905), are written from a cruelly sadistic viewpoint. Leopold von Sacher-Masoch's novel Venus in Furs (1870) is essentially one long masochistic fantasy, where the male principal character encourages his mistress to mistreat him.
In Pauline Réage's novel Story of O (1954), the female principal character is kept in a château and educated by a group of men using a wide range of BDSM techniques. "O"'s submission is depicted as consensual. A particular revelation of the story is that it is possible to gain power over someone as their victim.
As with many sexual interests, sadomasochism is a popular subject in erotica. While S&M erotica is often about consensual humiliation and power exchange, consent is often abandoned as serves fantasy. The contemporary novelist Anne Rice, best known for Interview with the Vampire, wrote the sadomasochistic trilogy The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty (1983–85) under the pseudonym of A. N. Roquelaure and Exit to Eden (1985) under the pseudonym of Anne Rampling.

"Lyric Raid" : "Runaway" by Kanye West
While the VMAs weren't that great last night, Kanye West took the opportunity to emrace his douchbagdome with a performance of his new song "Runaway." Unbelievably, he found a way to celebrate douchebags, assholes, and scumbags in a song. He may be a lot of things, but you have to give him credit for having some balls.
"And I always find, yeah, I always find somethin' wrong
You been puttin' up wit' my shit just way too long
I'm so gifted at findin' what I don't like the most
So I think it's time for us to have a toast
Let's have a toast for the douchebags,
Let's have a toast for the assholes,
Let's have a toast for the scumbags,
Every one of them that I know
Let's have a toast to the jerkoffs
That'll never take work off
Baby, I got a plan
Run away fast as you can
She find pictures in my email
I sent this girl a picture of my, hey!
I don't know what it is with females
But I'm not too good with that, hey!
See, I could have me a good girl
And still be addicted to them hoodrats
And I just blame everything on you
At least you know that's what I'm good at
See, I always find
And I always find
Yeah, I always find somethin' wrong
You been puttin' up with my shit just way too long
I'm so gifted at findin' what I don't like the most
So I think it's time for us to have a toast
Let's have a toast for the douchebags,

Every one of them that I know
Let's have a toast to the jerkoffs
That'll never take work off
Baby, I got a plan
Run away fast as you can
R-r-ru-ru-ru-run away
Run away from me, baby
(Look at, look at, look at, look at you)
Run away from me, baby
(Look at you, look at you, look at you)
Run away
Run away from me, baby"
Gaga and a Meat Dress
Overall, I felt the VMAs sucked last night. And unfortunately, there really isn't anything interesting in the news today that ties in with our taboo theme. No good celebrity arrests or gossip. No new sex tapes or interesting statistics to report. So the best I can do today is post a picture of Lady Gaga's VMA meat dress that has annoyed PETA and a few other folks. Hey, it's Monday. Ciara and Justin Timberlake In Heat
Here's a little steam for your weekend. Ciara and Justin definitely sexed it up for this "Love Sex Magic" video. It was released last year, but I randomly stumbled upon it while on YouTube and realized it's impossible to take your eyes off of it. Borderline pornagraphic.
And I Quote...

"Sexpot of the Week" -- Kitten DeVille
We haven't featured a Burlesque or pinup sexpot in a while so this week we're going with burlesque star Kitten DeVille. She's filling the Marilyn Monroe blonde bombshell role on the circuit and has made quite a name for herself. She's a former Miss Exotic World winner, owns a school of burlesque, and produces her own rock-n-roll burlesque show. And she's a beauty.

"Bad (Not Bad Ass) Tattoo" : Exposed Bird
http://gradeatattoos.com/
This tattoo is bad, but has a semi-charm to it. You know, when something is so ugly it's cute? I am particularly fond of its beer belly. And please don't skim over the fact it has exposed breasts. This was done on someone's calf and after that fact hits you, it stops being cute or funny in any way.

"The Hard Sell" : Taboo In Advertising
This is the second post for our "Taboo in Advertising" feature. It was created by Barnardo's, a children's charity located in the United Kingdom, as an anti-poverty message. Unsurprisingly, the ad drew immense fire. It's a bit much (even for me), but it does make its point and it provokes thought. One should feel angry seeing this, but really one should feel as much anger that children are exposed to harm on a daily basis.
