Polygamous sect leader Warren S. Jeffs of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was ordered a new trial today in the rape of a 14 year old girl. There's something naturally annoying about people getting away with crimes because of loopholes and courtroom mistakes. When it's something as serious as the rape of a child, it is infuriating. In this particular case, Jeffs will be held anyway because of warrants for his arrest in other sexual assault charges, but what about the many times the loophole sets the criminal free for good?
